MEMPHIS- Daniel Ross went six strong innings as the Majors secured the #1 seed in the SAA tournament and the regular season title with a 3-1 win over Rhodes on Sunday.

The Lynx manufactured a run in the first, getting a two-out single to scratch across their lone run of the game.

The Majors would respond with two in the third. Wes Perkins singled home Jerrod Myers and was brought in by Samuel Doucet. That would be all the support Ross would need.

Millsaps would add some insurance as William Chenoweth scored on a passed ball after stealing both second and third.

The freshman threw six innings of one-run, four-hit baseball. He walked two while striking out two to get the win. Zander Romano and Harper Grier held off the Lynx over the final three innings as Grier got the save for the Majors.

As the one seed, the Majors will host one of next weekend's double elimination quarterfinals and semifinals. As it stands now, The Majors will host the four and six seeds Hendrix and Oglethorpe as well as the eight-seed Sewanee.  The games begin on Friday starting at 2pm.
