JACKSON – Freshman

AC cut into the lead 6-4 in the top of the fourth with a two-run home run by John Reisig off starter
Aaron Williams but the Majors struck again with two in bottom of the fourth to remain ahead 8-4.
The ‘Roos would not go down easy tying the game 8-8 with four runs in the fifth highlighted by a solo home run off the bat of Brian Buehler.
AC would claim a 10-8 lead in the top of the sixth taking advantage of two Millsaps errors.
The Majors responded with four runs in the bottom of the inning to reclaim a 12-10 lead started by Hawkins’ third of four walks in the game.
Hawkins later scored on a wild pitch and Perkins hit a three-run home run to cap the inning.
After the ‘Roos got one run back in the seventh, Millsaps scored four in the bottom half with three coming off Berry’s first home run of the season.
Perkins went deep for the third time on the afternoon with a walk-off blast over right field in the eighth inning as the Majors claimed a 21-11 run rule victory.
All nine starters had at least one hit for Millsaps for the second consecutive game led by Perkins and Ordeneaux who both finished 3-for-5.
Berry drove five runners home on the day while going 2-for-4 from the plate.
Jake Mills earned the victory in relief of Williams and moves to 2-1 on the year while Cullen Calabria took the loss.
The Majors are averaging 11.5 runs per game on the season and remain perfect in SCAC action on the season at 6-0 and move to 11-3 overall and 9-1 at home with the win today.
Austin College falls to 8-8 overall and 5-5 in the conference with the loss.
Millsaps will hit the road for a non-conference game at Rhodes College on Tuesday, March 9 beginning at 2 p.m.
