BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - In the annual Birmingham-Southern Fall Invitational at Highland Park GC, seniors Mirel Brackin and Willie Jones competed for Millsaps in the two-day event, with Brackin tying a career-low round of 88 on Day 2.

Both golfers improved on their Day 1 scores, with Jones improving eight strokes overall in carding a combined 214 (111, 103) and Brackin improving three strokes to card a 179 (91, 88) for a 43rd place finish overall. Jones' round of 103 on Day 2 marked a career best, beating her previous low of 104 last in the spring.

The University of West Florida cruised to the tournament victory, winning by a 35-stroke margin with a 594, while Jackson State University finished second with a 629. Host BSC, Lee University and the University of Mobile all tied for third place with a 635. 

Millsaps will be back on the links this weekend, traveling to Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.
