• Meet Results

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Sophomore Natalie Rebentisch and freshman Angel Butler were the first two Majors to cross the tape in the annual Rhodes College Invitational 5K at Shelby Farms, finishing with times of 25:08 and 27:38, respectively.

Host Rhodes College used its home course advantage and raced to the win, scoring an impressive 25 points in an 86-person field consisting of Division I, II and III competition.

For the second straight meet, Rebentisch paced the Millsaps team to the finish line and placed 62nd overall averaging an 8:07 mile. Mary Mitchell Williams, came in just 16 seconds behind Butler as the Majors' third finisher, while Kate Garand, Molly Lehmuller and Nell Knox each came in the ensuing five minutes in the back of the pack.

SCAC-provisional member Birmingham-Southern finished second overall and the University of Memphis rounded out the top three schools.

Millsaps will take a weekend off before its next competition, running in the Watson Ford Invitational on Oct. 10 in Clinton at Choctaw Trails.
