Millsaps College Athletics

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The final ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Division III Poll for the 2009 season was released early this afternoon and Millsaps College finished at No. 16 with 124 points after a 34-10 year.

The No. 16 final ranking by the ABCA is the second highest finish for a Millsaps baseball team in school history, as the record-breaking 37-13 season in 2006 earned the Majors a No. 13 final ranking.  Other final rankings for Millsaps were 19th in 1996, 21st in 1995 and 30th in 2006.

Millsaps was ranked as high as No. 2 in three consecutive ABCA polls to open the year -- March 24, April 7, April 21 -- before slipping to 16th the final two weeks after a 4-6 finish down the stretch.
